Welcome to the Medford Hamlet.
The Medford Hamlet is the first Assisted Living Residence on Long Island newly built to provide long term affordable living for seniors. This, in addition to the high quality of services provided and a wide range of amenities, sets The Medford Hamlet apart from other Assisted Living Residences, making it the alternative for 200 residents who wish to maintain their independence but can no longer live on their own.
Fully licensed by the New York State Department of Health, the residence is staffed by individuals who are dedicated to serving seniors and supervised by experienced administrators and professional nurses. Services are provided in consultation with your primary physician.
Most services and amenities are included in affordable leases without any buy-in fees.
Medicaid and SSI are accepted.
Services
Each fully furnished unit at The Medford Hamlet includes a bathroom, kitchenette, 24 hour security and emergency call system, climate control, smoke detectors and sprinkler systems. Telephone, cable and internet services are arranged. Occupational and physical therapy is available on-site.
Our own mini-bus provides transportation to nearby shopping and house of worship as well as to activities within the community.
Medford Hamlet is also a LHCSA (a licensed home care services agency) and our Wellness Staff monitors the health and safety of our residents and provide assistance for residents who need some help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing and assistance with medications.
Amenities
Amenities at The Medford Hamlet include lounges/card rooms, Pub, Country Kitchen for light snacks (and a 24 hour juice and coffee bar), fully equipped gym, an elegant private dining room for family get-togethers, a library, beauty salon/barber shop and indoor and outdoor activity areas. Residents can enjoy these features along with three nutritious meals a day, housekeeping and linen services, scheduled transportation for medical appointments, religious services and shopping, as well as a meaningful social activities program designed to involve, educate and entertain.
Most importantly, residents will meet new friends and neighbors.
