It is important to understand that as someone experiences a cognitive decline due to dementia or confusion, this does not necessarily mean the person must enter a skilled nursing facility. Our Memory Impairment Neighborhood is specially designed to care for people memory impairments by offering services that accommodate their unscheduled needs. This maintains a person's highest practicable well-being at about half the cost of a nursing home.


Memory Impair Care

At Camillus Ridge Terrace, we believe that mental and spiritual health is as important as physical health. We also understand the challenges of caring for people with memory impairments.

Our specially designed memory care unit will be staffed with trained professionals that will have a holistic approach to caring for our residents. The management of Camillus Ridge Terrace have been caring for older people for over 25 years and from experience have found that people with impaired memories require an environment that is familiar, comfortable and secure with staff that is knowledgeable and creative in caring for people with dementia.

Some of our special distinctions that help a person to maintain their highest practicable well-being are the following:

* A Familiar Setting ... the memory impairment neighborhood will be tastefully decorated with pictures, sofas, televisions, rocking chairs, that give a person that feeling of home and security.
