At Atria Guilderland, you’ll enjoy warm hospitality and quality care in scenic upstate New York. Atria Guilderland features an attractive park with walkways and benches, a stunning grand foyer, and new lodge-like décor and furnishings. Socialize, read, or play games with other residents, or participate in a variety of social, spiritual and educational activities.

Atria builds vibrant communities that provide seniors with comfort, companionship and a better quality of life in their later years. Our goal is to always create an environment where older people thrive, where loneliness and isolation are behind them, and where families and friends feel secure their loved ones are protected and fulfilled. This doesn’t happen by accident. Behind the warmth and welcome of an Atria community are pages of protocols, standards and metrics – and a real investment, on everybody’s part, in doing what is right.

Amenities:
Computers "Staying in touch with family and friends is important to our residents. E-mail is frequently the easiest way to keep in touch, especially with tech-savvy grandchildren. To make communication easier, many Atria communities provide computers specifically for resident use. Frequently located in the library, computers and Internet access allow our residents to remain connected with their loved ones. Residents can send e-mails, exchange pictures and remain a vibrant member in the lives of old friends and family. "

On-site Physical Therapy Provider
"In partnership with outside, licensed providers, Atria offers on-site physical therapy for residents and area seniors who need therapy to recover from a stroke, accident or other physical disability."

Retreat / temporary stays
"Atria offers a respite (retreat) program for seniors who need assisted living services on a short-term basis. Atria Retreat permits seniors to test the waters of senior living. By allowing guests to stay for a short time in an Atria community, potential residents can decide if senior living is right for them. The retreat program is also an alternative to high-cost inpatient rehabilitation following an illness or surgery. Should a patient be ready to leave the hospital but not ready to go home, Atria offers the comforts of home and 24-hour assistance until they get back on their feet. All of our Retreat guests enjoy the same great amenities as our full-time residents, including delicious restaurant-style meals served daily, a full calendar of social activities, scheduled transportation service and more."

Volunteer Program
Atria recognizes that being older doesn't mean being inactive. Our communities offer options for volunteer work at everywhere from local schools to homeless shelters. The volunteer program affords our residents the opportunity to share their talents and knowledge with the local community. Feeling needed is an important part of staying active and independent, and the volunteer program shows all who participate how necessary they are to the local community.
